About this Product:
Powerbone CONE GRAFT is the easiest & most cost-effective way to fill an extraction socket, support the bony site and regenerate new bone ahead of implant placement.
A 50:50 ratio of synthetic micro (Powerbone) resorbing graft embedded in a flexible synthetic matrix. Presented as a socket-shaped cone for easy placement and self-supporting retention.
Requires no special surgical skills or instruments
Technical
- 50% *silicate substituted βeta-TCP (0.05-0.1mm) porous granules

- Fully resorbing.
- 16mm x 10mm bullet-shaped self-supporting cone (swells on application).
Features
- Osteoinductive.
- Osteoconductive.
- Porous.
- Pre-shaped to match socket morphology.
- Easily trim to fill multi-root or other defects.
- Swells on application to enhance retention.
- Contains no animal or cadaver tissue and is fully resorbable
Bone Healing
Powerbone SOCKET CONE GRAFT is embedded with granules of *silicate substituted βeta-TCP. Silicate resorption occurs first inducing angiogenesis and fast apatite formation (1,2,3) in a process biomechanically, radiographically, and histologically equivalent to autograft (1) whilst the βeta-TCP provides a highly porous osteoconductive scaffold to support new bone formation. Resorption is 100% in line with bone remodelling.
Application
- Perform atraumatic extraction and degranulate the site thoroughly with degranulation burrs or similar.
- Place Powerbone CONE graft into the bleeding site and compress.
- Can be wetted prior to application.
- Can be trimmed to fit smaller sites.
- Can be partially cut along its pointed axis to straddle a multi-rooted site.
- Apply an Ora-Aid self-adhesive dressing for protection. To prolong application time a sling-type suture can be used over the top of Ora-Aid.
- Powerbone SOCKET CONE GRAFT is fully resorbed in 4 to 6 months with no residue remaining.
